Description: The photographer has their back to Bramcote Lane. Showing the Admiral Rodney pub. Admiral (later Lord) Rodney was commander in chief in Jamaica from 1771-1774. He led the resistance from Port Royal and eventually defeated the French fleet at the Battle of the Saints. The roofed shelter outside the Admiral Rodney pub covers the village water pump. This shelter now stands on a roundabout in the middle of the road.
