Description: In the village part of Clifton. The George Wells Almshouses were built in 1709. (Listed grade II). There are 3 garden buildings within the garden frontage: the pavilions were designed as a matching pair and sit at the opposing entrance gates to the Almshouses. The shed, which can also be seen here, is the smallest building of the three at the eastern perimeter. All are of late 18th century origin.
