Description: This Grade II listed building, 14 to 22 Shakespeare Street was called Angelo Terrace or House (named for the statue of Michaelangelo above the door). During the late 1800's it was the Shakespeare Temperance Hotel (see NTGM004475), it was then occupied by architects, builders, surgeons, a corn merchant and had been used as a music school and a dispensary (there is a sign on the right side of the building which says that it is being used as a dispensary at the time that this picture was taken. It also says that there is a clinic for chest diseases, free on Tuesdays and Fridays 6.30pm, run by H Harper MD of South Regent Street). It was later occupied by Gregg's Business School and by the 1950's it was The Workers Education Association East Midlands District Office. It now belongs to the University of Nottingham, Department of Continuing Education.
