Description: Compare this picture to NTGM002218 which shows the final amended design ( the amended design was built in 1887-8 at a cost of £65,000). The wall on the right belongs to the former University College and Central Library, and is now Nottingham Trent University. The guildhall was built by Verity and Hunt in French Renaissance style similar, but smaller in scale, to their earlier plans shown here.
