Description: Looking towards the City from the side of the Albert Ball Memorial Homes. On the right is the west side of Chain Row which existed before this section of Church Street was opened in the late 1920s, after the bridge over the railway (in front of the large van) was completed. Chain Row crossed the railway by a level-crossing. (Reg Baker)
