Description:
'View is after houses have been demolished. Montfort Street was a short street which ran from Ilkeston Road to the south end of Denman Street. The right hand shop was at the corner of Burke Street and Frederick Spencer was its occupier. The advertisement on the wall for Tenants Rock Ales was for the Pheonix public house.'
