Showing inscription on brick wall in exercise yard. It refers to Valentine Marshall; sentenced to transportation in 1832 for implication in burning Colwick Hall.
In 1995 the Grade II listed Shire Hall was converted into the National Museum of Law and the Galleries of Justice.
