Description:

The church originally dates to the 14th century. The chancel was added in 1330 by the second Sir Robert de Compton, the church's founder, who died in 1330 and is buried in it.

Note: a sedilia is one of the seats (usually three) on the south side of the chancel, often recessed, for the use of the officiating clergy.
