Description:
Exact location unknown as now demolished.
Shortly before demolition. When the Enclosure Award was made in1865 it was possible for Nottingham to expand into the open fields round the town. The Enclosure Commissioners laid down rules to ensure that the new houses were bigger and bigger than the old back-to-backs. They had their own yard and toilet (tub closet) but in many cases the streets were not sewered until several years later. After about 100 years these houses have deteriorated and have been demolished to make way for the new housing estates.
