The Turney Brothers Leather Works Factory on the north side of the River Trent, to the east of Trent Bridge. On the left hand side of the photograph is London Road. Edward and John Turney founded the Tannery on the River Trent in 1861. Turney Brothers Limited produced 'Trent Bridge' willow calf which became famous as one of the first UK full chrome calf leathers produced in many colours for the ladies shoe trade.
