Description:
Temporary Bailey Bridge in use whilst Dunham Toll Bridge (seen in photos NTGM019670-76) was being demolished. Looking west from Lincolnshire side. In foreground and left is the rubble, brought from various demolition sites, which forms the base of the approach to the temporary bailey bridge seen on the left. On the left edge is the bridge carrying the water mains and the stone piers supporting it can be seen through the Bailey bridge. In the background is the tower of Dunham Parish Church; right is the old bridge, awaiting demolition (Reg Baker).
Bridge has since been re-built and widened and is still a toll bridge.
