Description:
An early 17th Century house on the east side of the Green. Centre is the western access to the church, surmounted by the wishbone arch. Note the glassless tracery of the windows of the tower. The white buildings in front of the church are the rear of the vicarage. On the left edge is the south-west corner of the 'Bridge Inn' (see NTGM019686). At the north gable of the house, the steps, nes brickwork and lamp-bracket above the window indicate that the present window has replaced a door. Access to this house and the church, is via the road that passes in front of - and rear of - the inn (Reg Baker, 1977).
