Description: Looking north west from Woodborough Road. Entrance to recreational avenue walkway. Developed as a public leisure space promenade (along with Robin Hood Chase, Queen's Walk, The Arboretum, The Forest and Castle Grounds) after the 1845 Enclosure Act, because of concern about providing leisure interests for the working classes.
