Description: Looking N.W. at Plumtre's Hospital, one of the most ancient of Nottingham's charities. The Hospital consists of 13 dwellings. There are 30 out-pensioners of this charity, which was originally endowed in 1392. The present building occupies the site of the ancient one. The name Plumptre derives from a Norman-Medieval Nottingham family. The Ice stadium is on the hill on the left.
