Description: Looking from Hollowstone looking towards London Road with Plumptre's Hospital on the left, one of the most ancient of Nottingham's charities. The Hospital consists of 13 dwellings. There are 30 out-pensioners of this charity, which was originally endowed in 1392. The present building occupies the site of the ancient one. The name Plumptre derives from a Normal-Medieval Nottingham family. The site of the factories' is now occupied by the new BBC building.
