Description: A surprisingly rural view of the area before the housing developments came. Looking north towards Aspley, with the LSMR railway bridge and train wagons in the distance. The wagons were standing in the sidings which replaced the crossing to Radford Wharf on the Nottingham Canal. It you walk down Radford Bridge Road today it is noticable that the railway bridge was once considerably longer as these sidings also crossed over the road. The general area viewed here would be covered later with the Radford Woodhouse area housing estates and crossed by Beechdale Road. See also NTGM001912, NTGM001813 and NTGM001913 for other views of this area at this time.
