Description:

This photograph was taken to highlight the bedrooms of these houses immediately over the open pail closets. The pail closets have been labelled by the Health Department, as has a bedroom above.

Around 1877 Sherwin Street and King Street, both leading off Southwell Road, became Sun Street and Abinger Street.
