Description: The construction of a traffic island in Theatre Square, replacing the statue of Samuel Morley, which once stood on this spot. Morley was MP for Nottingham and Bristol who died in 1886. Showing the Theatre Royal to the left, and the Peach Tree and Turf Tavern in the centre. The spire of Holy Trinity Church in Trinity Square can be seen in the background.
