Description:

Looking north towards the factory across the River Trent, showing Trent Bridge on the extreme left of the photograph. Edward and John Turney founded the Tannery on the River Trent in 1861. Turney Brothers Limited produced 'Trent Bridge' willow calf which became famous as one of the first UK full chrome calf leathers produced in many colours for the ladies shoe trade.
