Looking north towards the factory from Trent Bridge. To the left is the London Road junction with Arkwright Street. Edward and John Turney founded the Tannery on the River Trent in 1861. Turney Brothers Limited produced 'Trent Bridge' willow calf which became famous as one of the first UK full chrome calf leathers produced in many colours for the ladies shoe trade. In the distance is an advertisement billboard for the Home Brewery, Nottingham.
