Description: The Theatre Royal, seen from the junction of Parliament Street and Sherwood Street. Demolition is in progress prior to modernisation and extension of the theatre. The Empire Theatre (closed in 1958 and demolished in 1969) once stood alongside the Theatre Royal on this side.
