This was the old Forster Street School, renamed after an 'old boy', Sidney (not Sydney) Pearson Hill, who became a City Councillor, Alderman, Sheriff of the City (1959/60) and Lord Mayor (1962). (Information kindly supplied by Jeff Keech).
