Description: A nostalgic scene for anyone who can remember using low wash basins and tiny lavatories like this. This school even has little showers in the toilets so it must have been Players Infant West as there were no showers in Player Infant East. The photograph was not dated, but was part of a batch of school pictures originally donated by the City Engineers Department, all dating from the 1930's, Player School was not built until 1937 so it must be later than that. However, the childrens clothing and the teachers hairstyle could possibly date the picture up to the 1950's. Please let us know if you can give us a more precise date for this photograph.
