Description: Looking at the north bank with Turney's leather works on the left. Lady Bay Bridge, carrying the Midland Railway Line can be seen under the arches of Trent Bridge. Magnification reveals that behind Lady Bay Bridge are huge advertisements for Halls Glue and Bone Works (Est. 1870) and Bitterlings skin, fat and offal market. The leather works and skin and bone works were built in close proximity to the Cattle Market, which was away to the left of these buildings. The leisure boat trips here must have been very smelly excursions!
