Description:

A pleasure steamer crowded with trippers heads down river below Trent Bridge. The bridge itself can be seen in the right background and to the left of this is the Ivory Palace of the short-lived Midlands Industrial Exhibition. Opened in 1903, this was destroyed by fire just 14 months later.
