They are called The Porters, from there having been once a gate between them. The height of No. 1 is 98 feet 6 inches; circumference at the bottom 38 feet, at one yard high 27 feet, at two yards 23 feet; the solid contents 840 feet. The height of No. 2 is 88 feet; circumference at the bottom 34 feet, at one yard high 23 feet, at two yards 20 feet; the solid contents 744 feet.
