Description: This view taken from Deering's 'Nottinghamia'. The name Plumptre derives from a Norman-Medieval Nottingham family. It was renewed in 1650 by Huntingdon Plumptre and extended and repaired in c 1751 by his grandson, John Plumptre and after he died in 1751, by his son John in 1753.
