Description: On Saturday May 18th 1963, a 'Joint Line Railtour' was organised by the RCTS. The route included Nottingham London Road - Bottesford - Melton North - possibly Belgrave Road - Melton Town - Nottingham Midland. It was hauled by Class 5 No. 45238. RCTS stands for 'The Railway Correspondence and Travel Society'. Founded in 1928, it is one of the largest British societies for railway enthusiasts, primarily catering for those interested in the fine detail of day-to-day operations. It publishes the monthly Railway Observer and very detailed and well-regarded locomotive histories. Affectionately known as 'The Royal Corps of Train Spotters').
