According to a 1908 Directory, George Cheetham was located at Cropwell Butler (see side of cart). Here he is thought to be delivering in Radcliffe on Trent.
Website contributor Penny Whitney adds: 'I was very pleased to find this picture of George Cheetham, Baker, Cropwell Butler. He was the adoptive father of my grandfather, Bert Cheetham (christened Burton Thurlby). As a child I remember my grandfather baking and delivering the bread by horse and cart. However, by then it was a covered cart. This was in the early 1950s.'
