Description: Showing the Victorian Gothic Revival style Holy Trinity Church which once stood on Trinity Square, adjacent to Milton Street. This view is looking across Milton Street, over the city towards Nottingham Castle, from the clock tower of Victoria Railway Station. On the right is the roof of the Mechanics Institute. The Church was built in 1841 and formed as a parish in 1842. The church originally had a tall spire which had been removed by the time this picture was taken (see NTGM009394 for comparison). It was demolished circa 1957-8. The site is now occupied by the Trinity Square Car Park.
