Description: From a painting by H Herkomer, ARA. Painted to celebrate his 80th birthday. Lived from 1807-1893. Engineer to Trent (later Nottingham) Waterworks Company, responsible for the design and construction of Nottinghams water supply. He moved to London in 1852
