Description: The Exchange Arcade was built in 1928 and formed part of a major Civic Building which included the City Council House (built in 1927-9 by C T Howitt). The building stands in the city centre, just off the Old Market Place, and houses a number of shops. By the early Eighties the arcade had fallen into disrepair. In 1985, the Arcade was reopened following a major refurbishment project, bringing the building back to its former glory. One of the main features are the fresco murals inside the dome depicting the history of Nottingham.
