Description: Compare with previous image NTGM012321 to see how the facade's of the shop fronts changed over time. Interesting to note is the new 'mock tudor' frontage of the Pearson building, which is shown here as being very plain! (3rd building on right past the Bell). Also shown is Bromley House (in the centre). Bromley House was built by Mr Taylor for Sir George Smith, the banker, in 1752. The building was used by Nottingham Subscription Library (from 1822) and has since been renamed Bromley House Library.
