Description: Tarbotton (1834 - 1887) was the City Municipal Architect from 1858 -188 and oversaw the building of University College (now part of Nottingham Trent University) as well as other civic structures in Nottingham around the 1870's, such as the building of the new Trent Bridge and the Chinese Bell Tower in the Arboretum.
