Description: Taken from the south entrance off Barker Gate. This was formerly one of St Mary's Burial Grounds. The gravestones have been placed around the boundary walls and the area landscaped. There are several interesting gravestones, two of which are attached to the east gable of 'Gothic House', six feet above ground level. The north-east corner of the gable is seen on the left edge of this photograph. At the end of the path is what was once Denmark Court, which leads into Woolpack Lane, and is continued by Angel Alley into Goose Gate. The premises in the background front onto Woolpack Lane and the footpath is in constant use, and the garden serves as a picnic area for local employed in nice weather.
