Description: The Bobbers Mill estate was built on the site of Radford Colliery. This view is taken from the bridge over the Leen Valley Line, looking south-east. This bridge carries a bridle road from St. Peter's Street / Hartley Road junction to Aspley Lane. It also serves the allotments which lie on the north-west of the railway. This area is locally referred to as Radford Folly. On the immediate left of the railway lies the site of the siding line into the colliery which closed in the late 1950s. In the background are the high-rise tenements on Willoughby Street, Lenton, and the two chimneys of North Wilford Power Station.
