Description: As seen from junction with Agnes Street. The marble plaque of the Levick Almshouses lies amongst the rubble of the houses on the site where they stood. Where the cars are parked is Healey Street (which also joins Agnes Street and Kirkewhite Street). Left of the second block of houses, is the white facade of the Duke of Newcastle Inn on Kirkewhite Street. The houses between the two blocks are on the east side of Willersley Street. On the right are the rear of the houses and shops on the south side of Kirkewhite Street, between Healey Street and Kirkewhite Street. All of these streets were demolished in the renovation of the Meadows area in the 1970s.
