Description:
This engraving is reproduced from John Blackner's 'History of Nottingham'. It shows the north bank and some of the narrow arches of the bridge. The large building on the left with three chimneys was the waterworks. Water was pumped from the River Trent up to a reservoir on Park Row.
Taken from Geoffrey Oldfield's book on Nottingham published by Breedon Books, 2007.
