Description:
Looking northwest from Bath Street.
The market is held on Mondays and Saturdays only until midday.
In the right background is the part of the Victoria Baths that runs parallel with Gedling Street. The stone building in the centre is the Town Mission Ragged School (the name and date it was built are on the scrolls seen on the lower part of the chimney stack, between the two oval windows). The tall building behind that is an office block on Cranbrook Street, whilst that to the left of it is the GPO (Archer) telephone exchange. The tree on the left is near the junction of Gedling Street and Freckingham Street. The one in the centre is also on Gedling Street.
