Description:
Demolition of the former Nottingham Corporation (later East Midlands Gas Board) offices, appliances assembly department, service and distrubution depot at the corner of Woodborough Road and Huntingdon Street. Front view, seen from Huntingdon Street.
The building was acquired by the East Midlands Gas Board when the gas industry was nationalised, and was used by them until 1975. It was then offered for sale, but there being no buyer it was decided to demolish it and on the site build a modern service depot.
The building on the right edge was originally the stables and hayloft. The new houses on the left edge are the site of Huntingdon Street School.
