Description:

The building was designed as The Poor Law Offices by Mr Goodall of Nottingham and, costing about £16,000, opened on August 18th 1887.

The building was seriously damaged during a bombing raid in the second World War that hit The University College building across the road. Shrapnel marks are still visible in the stonework.

This building is now the Nottingham Registry Office.
