Description:
The Central Market on King Edward Street was built in 1926 to replace the market in the centuries old Market Place. When the Victoria Centre was built in the 1970s, provision for an indoor market was included. The old market was demolished and the site used to build new buildings such as these offices on Glasshouse Street.
