Description:
Showing the Art Deco architectural detail of the Marks and Spencers store in Lister Gate. The buildings on the west side of Lister Gate included a number of offices with multiple tenancies. Some of these were demolished and one of the department stores erected on the cleared sites is this building which has ornate Art Deco details on its upper floor. It was formerly the Woolworths store before they moved to the Victoria Centre in the late 1990s / early 2000s and is currently occupied by Marks & Spencers Home store.
