Description:
Shows office block at junction with Friar Lane to left.
Maid Marian Way, the City's western inner ring road, was only constructed after a protracted and controversial period of years. Castle Gate, Hounds Gate, Friar Lane, St James' Street and Mount Street were divided into two halves by the demolition of properties on the line of the road. New buildings, such as this one at the corner of Friar Lane, were erected when the road was complete.
There are views of the building and transformation of Maid Marian Way elsewhere on this site.
