Description:

An overview of the roof of the works. W. Coates and Sons large rope and twine manufacturing business was housed in the premises shown here on Commercial Street. The location now lies beneath the Queens Medical centre. The Company also had a shop at 12 Montpelier Road.

Spring Terrace is on the left side and Elm Tree Terrace on the right, the larger first house was at 35 Spring Close and the second was 1 Spring Terrace.
