Description:
Showing the former Evening Post offices on the right and the demolition of the Empire Theatre which was to become part of the Theatre Royal Complex.
In 1903 North Street was renamed Forman Street, after the founder of the Evening Post. Forman Street is now a pedestrianised street full of cafes, bars and restaurants with outdoor seating.
The Evening Post building was demolished and replaced with a new-build purpose-built entertainment complex called The Corner House which opened in 2001.
