Description:
Showing the Western approach to Dunham Toll Bridge. The toll bridge over the river was owned by the Dunham Bridge Company. Behind the toll list is a former farmhouse. The bridge carries the A57-Lincoln to Manchester road. The river is the county boundary between Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire. The weight-restriction means that vehicles exceeding it must cross the river at Gainsborough or Newark. A Bailey-bridge was to be built temporariliy while a new bridge was to be constructed on the site of the toll bridge.
