Description:
Looking north down Church Hill towards its junction with Eastwood Road. On the left is Kimberley County Junior Boys School (Church Hill School), while to the right is the boundary wall of Holy Trinity Church.
Just visible in-between the cottage in the centre of the view and the school buildings is the roof of the new police station, erected in the early 1960s, and also the redundant abutment of the bridge that carried the abandoned ex-Midland Railway Basford to Bennerley route over the main road. This bridge was dismantled around 1960, these facts helping to date the photograph.
