Description:
The Terrace Hall, north side, looking west. The columns and vases are of translucent Egyptian alabaster. Behind the wall is the passage to the main entrance. The portrait over the fireplace is of the Lord's father in military uniform during the First World War. The lampshade is made of (Castleton-produced) Blue-john. The notice attached to the column is in connection with the proposed sub-division of the building in the forthcoming sale of those divisions on 999 years lease to individual purchasers.
