Description:
A church is known to have existed here in 1299 but the present building largely dates from 1705, albeit incorporating some elements of an older and larger building. It was listed Grade II-star in 1965. This view shows the Rowan Benefaction Board (located on the south wall of the tower), which records a bequest by Miss Fanny Rowan 'late of Nottingham' (who died in 1845) for the benefit of 'the deserving poor' of Owthorpe.
